Eastside Academy is an alternative high school serving students who have not found their place in a traditional school environment. Our teaching and learning culture is focused on helping rediscover their unique strengths and gifts, giving them the opportunity to succeed in a unique learning environment. Learning & Instruction

At Eastside Academy, we are designing a unique approach that reframes the reason for learning. We do not simply learn to memorize information, take a test, check a box, and move on to the next thing. We learn because it helps us know ourselves better, to discover our unique gifts and develop those gifts in pursuit of our true purpose.

Schedule & Rhythms

The use of time is a powerful statement about the practices we value. Our daily, weekly, and yearly rhythms are specifically designed to promote the behaviors and practices we aim to see in our students. Pace, balance, and safety are all factors we considering in establishing our schedule.

Alumni

Any student who has enrolled at Eastside Academy for any length of time will always be part of the Eastside Academy family. All alumni continue to enjoy support and services including counseling and career support.

I wasn’t excited about the small school environment at first, but it really does help you get to know one another and the staff. As the staff gets to know you better, they really learn the different ways to help you succeed.
